JL

He may be new to the Strange Music roster, but JL had already created a name for himself locally and captured the ear of Tech N9ne far before Strange Music signed JL in 2015. After his premiere on Strange Music’s label-wide collaborative project Strangeulation Volume II, the Kansas City native instantly hooked the core Strange fan base. Coining slogans like D.I.B.K.I.S. (Do It Big Keep It Strange) and creating a viral sensation with his debut solo track “Own Thang,” this freshman chopper is not only the next generation of Strange Music, but of the rap game as a whole.
